Posting DetailsPosition Information Job Title Executive Director to the Office of the Provost Position Number 999952 Department Academic Affairs Salary $75,000 - $80,000 Job Summary/Description The position of Executive Director to the Office of the Provost serves as a key member of the Provost's leadership team and assists the provost in planning, managing and executing a wide range of complex duties. This individual will support the provost in project management, budget oversight, and various initiatives to move ASU in the direction of the strategic plan.Typical Duties/Job Duties
Lead and manage special projects for the division of Academic Affairs, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and alignment with institutional priorities. Evaluate project outcomes and provide comprehensive reports to the Provost. Manage Academic Affairs projects through project management software.Work with division leaders through the position vacancy process to ensure timely review of pending positions, analyzing staffing needs and providing data for organizational restructuring or resource allocation. Support the Provost in the coordination and execution of a digitized tenure and promotion process.Prepare and analyze financial reports, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Assist in preparing justifications for specific biennial budget request items pertaining to Academic Affairs.Support in the planning and execution of events and initiatives led by the Office of the Provost, including academic workshops, faculty forums, and university-wide initiatives.Serve as a point of contact for the Provosts office for the cabinet, faculty, and staff fostering collaboration and communication between various divisions and offices across campus. By connecting departments, the position will ensure alignment of goals, streamline processes, and promote a cohesive approach to achieving the university's mission. Provide executive support such as drafting correspondence and presentations. Prepare and review meeting agendas, materials, and follow-up documentation.Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in business administration or similar area with at least three years of experience in support of executive management with a record of executive level function.Preferred Qualifications University experience in upper executive management and a masters degree in business or related field. Project management experience is desirablePhysical Requirements Requires prolonged periods of sitting, occasional walking, and intermittent bending and standing; medium level of manual dexterity is required; occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.
