This is a Contract to Hire Position

Payrate: up to $30 hour W-2, depending on experience.

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Expeditor to join our client's onsite procurement and logistics team in Houston TX. This is a full-time onsite position with right-to-hire by the client.

The Expeditor will be primarily working with the procurement and logistics team to identify urgent / critical orders, identify associated purchase orders to suppliers, and drive overall performance improvement from major suppliers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Tracks operational responsibilities
• Helps prioritize projects based on deadlines
• Documents process issues
• Prepares progress reports
• Facilitates implementation of need-based solutions
• Fosters strong internal and external partnerships
• Monitors and maintains project and delivery schedule
• Streamlines interdepartmental communication

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of expediting experience (preferred); May consider supply chain, logistics or process improvement experience.
• Knowledge of process improvement principles such as Six Sigma, etc.
• Proficient in MS Office and other ERP systems
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and analytical
• Bachelor's degree (preferred); Associate degree and relative experience will also be considered.
