Job Description :

Our client, a leading electronics manufacturing company, is seeking an Expeditor to join their team. As an Expeditor, you will be part of the Materials & Planning department supporting production. The ideal candidate will have experience with MRP systems, strong time management skills, and knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control methods.

Job Title: Expeditor (6am start time)

Location: Chatsworth, CA

Pay Range: $36,025 - $43,680 per year

What's the Job?

  • Performs various production control activities including gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer orders, posting production schedules, and calculating production rates.

  • Facilitates and expedites the flow of materials, work orders, and production documentation to and from various departments.

  • Review and update backorder and critical item reports.

  • Expedites part shortages or substitutes through appropriate channels and monitors status of critical materials.

  • Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.

What's Needed?

  • Experience with MRP systems (QAD a plus), Bills of Materials, and Routings.

  • Competency with MS Office Software (excel, word, and outlook).

  • Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, and production control methods. Electronics manufacturing preferred.

  • The ability to interpret engineering changes, drawings, and specifications.
