When clients need capital, ECM integrates D.A. Davidson's expertise in Sales and Trading and Investment Banking, offering clients seamless advice and sophisticated solutions. The ECM desk, in conjunction with Investment Banking professionals, originates, structures and executes public and private placement of equities and related products.The Experience Analyst is expected to play an important role directly supporting the Managing Directors of Equity Capital Markets in origination and execution efforts. As experience and proficiency allow, the responsibilities will increase and independent, client-facing interaction will become a requirement. Qualifications/Requirements:
    • Passionate about capital markets with the desire to become an expert in public offerings
    • 1 - 3 years experience in the role
    • Bright, professional, and motivated with the desire to excel in an intellectually-challenging environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong work ethic
    • Advanced analytical and organizational skills
    • Ability to work well within a team and on a self-directed basis
    • Being coachable and Highly motivated to learn
    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA
    • Highly motivated and confident with a strong desire to succeed in a challenging field
    • Strong knowledge of business software (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Basic corporate finance and accounting knowledge
    • Upon hiring, the successful completion of Series 7 and 63 licenses within 3 months of start date
    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
    • Proficiency with Bloomberg and Capital IQ or Fact Set a plus
Duties:
    • Support senior ECM leaders in:
    • Analyzing and executing various types of public offerings (e.g., IPO, follow-on, at-the-market, and bought deal) for Davidson corporate clients
    • Liaising with colleagues in Equity Sales, Research, and Trading to discuss sector and stock specific trends and investor feedback
    • Engaging in frequent dialogue with the broader ECM and Investment Banking teams regarding public offering ideas and opportunities
    • Preparing and presenting customized solutions to ECM and firm leadership regarding capital commitment and returns
Gain experience necessary to:
    • Formulate and deliver opinions and recommendations on securities and companies in one or more industry groups regarding capital raising and business dynamics
    • Prepare reports, recommendations and statistical data for dissemination to clients and colleagues
    • Discuss research findings with Sales and Trading associates and institutional clients (e.g., analysts and portfolio managers at top mutual funds and hedge funds)
$105,000 - $115,000 a yearAnalyst 2 are at $105,000 base salary; Analyst 3 are at $115,000 base salary. Bonuses are up to 50% of base.At D.A.
