Duties Assists with managing Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation of Ammunition and Explosives for a Federal organization. Assists with managing the Qualification/Certification Program. Works with the Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation Specialists and Qualification/Certification Manager to execute Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation of Ammunition and Explosives. Supports the Manufacturing Department Quality program, participates in conducting and/or supports audits, monthly compliance reports and investigations. Supports coordination with Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division's Safety Office (Explosive Safety Officer) on explosive safety inspections and explosive safety incidents. Supports a manufacturing organization. Reports to the duty location advertised in the announcement on a regular and reoccurring basis. Occasional telework options may be available. Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). This position may require occasional travel. You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
