- Assists with managing Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation of Ammunition and Explosives for a Federal organization.
- Assists with managing the Qualification/Certification Program.
- Works with the Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation Specialists and Qualification/Certification Manager to execute Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation of Ammunition and Explosives.
- Supports the Manufacturing Department Quality program, participates in conducting and/or supports audits, monthly compliance reports and investigations.
- Supports coordination with Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division's Safety Office (Explosive Safety Officer) on explosive safety inspections and explosive safety incidents.
- Supports a manufacturing organization.
- Reports to the duty location advertised in the announcement on a regular and reoccurring basis. Occasional telework options may be available.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals).
- This position may require occasional travel.
- You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You may be required to travel to various plant production, magazine storage areas and other facilities on-site and off-site
