To support that challenge, the Vegetable Seeds team is currently seeking an Export Specialist, located in Pasco, WA. Job Description Export Specialists are responsible for outbound seed movements to multiple countries. The person in this role must be able to navigate Syngenta's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, SAP, to coordinate export seed shipments. In addition to coordinating outbound shipments this person must be able to navigate complex regulatory trade environments to ensure each seed shipment complies with the destination country's import requirements. This requires specialization in understanding phytosanitary requirements along with U.S. and foreign trade regulations. Accountabilities
  • Actively support continuous and focused improvements and standardization initiatives, ensuring documentation is updated accordingly
  • Review and improve customer experience related controls and provide input as required on open requests
  • Pro-actively research country regulations and import requirements to ensure compliant and timely exportation and importation of Syngenta products globally
  • Coordinate with the United States Department of Agriculture and various States' Department of Agriculture to ensure our products can meet phytosanitary requirements.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent working experience in Supply Chain, Material management, trade compliance, international business or Logistics.
  • Advanced level of understanding of logistics processes and tools.
  • Basic understanding of finance & supply operations
  • Language skills: Fluent in English and fluency in another language is beneficial
  • 3+ years of experience in a supply operations environment.
  • Responsible for the generating, supplying or coordinating documentation required to comply with domestic and international trade regulations (e.g., pro forma invoices, order confirmations, phytosanitary certificates, non-GMO, export filings, import permits, etc.)

  • Salary range: $66,000 - $83,000
