PURPOSE:Find out exactly what skills, experience, and qualifications you will need to succeed in this role before applying below.To assist, support, and improve the daily operational process of dedicated operations. Will work directly with Fleet Managers and Account Managers on-site and off to ensure we are maximizing our potential. Persons in this position will interface daily with multiple operations throughout Marten's network.
Responsibilities:
Review nightly issues on assigned dedicated accounts. Troubleshoot and support field operations on ongoing issues.Work with dedicated analyst to create better processes for KPI's inside the division.Assist and support regional operations in times of dedicated implementations.Establish and maintain excellent communication processes between Marten and dedicated customers, maximizing utilization of daily capacity to meet internal goals and requirements of Marten Transport, Ltd.Analyze service reports to determine root causes for service failures and use the information to implement the appropriate corrective action plans.Maintain a strong understanding of customer initiatives to keep Marten's strategic focus in line with those goals.Establish and maintain good relationships with all members of customer's support departments.Work closely with Marten's Recruiting department to aid in the recruitment of drivers for any established collaborative or dedicated fleet.Serve as operations representative in various meetings as needed.Travel as necessary.Other duties as assigned.Relationships:Daily interactions with drivers, fleet managers, customer managers, dedicated customers, and Regional Operations Managers.
Abilities/Skills Required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Ability to analyze work processes and procedures to execute changes that improve Marten's operational performance.Computer literacy.Strong leadership skills.Ability to be self-motivated and complete tasks without onsite supervision.Physical Requirements:Sitting for long periods of time, manual dexterity.
Education/Training:B.S. degree preferred in Operations, Management, or Logistics. Previous transportation experience preferred.
