We are seeking a talented External Communications Specialist to support the external communication strategies joining the firms growing external communications team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a keen eye for detail.

Description

Varied role as External Communications Specialist:

• Develop and implement external communication strategies that promote key practice groups, services and capabilities
• Collaborate with the marketing and communication teams
• Manage media relations, press releases, preparing for questions, measuring and maximizing media opportunities
• Support with RFI's, RFP's, tenders and pitches
• Ensure consistency in the company's brand messaging across all platforms
• Triage all incoming media inquiries, draft press releases, maintain press lists

Profile

The successful External Communications Specialist will have demonstrable experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or other related field
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• 5+ years experience in external communications, preferably for a top tier law firm or professional/ financial services or consulting firm
• Strong press, PR and media communications background
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to build rapport quickly and work collaboratively with the wider communications and marketing team locally, nationally and globally
