EXTRUSION TEAM LEAD - Quanex : Job Details

Quanex is looking for a Extrusion Team Lead (1 per shift) to join our team located in Winnebago IL. Extrusion Team Leads are responsible for leading a work team in running a group of extruders to efficiently and safely produce quality window parts that meetcustomer specifications with minimal downtime or waste.We Offer You!

What Success Looks Like:

• Establishes daily demand and appropriate manpower plans.
• Performs pre-shift safety walk-through and interval safety audits.
• Establishes team goals and communicates progress and results.
• Develops and implements employee training and development plans.
• Holds regular problem-solving meetings with teams.
• Audits team to ensure daily work is being performed by operators and technicians.
• Ensures proper balance and flow of work, makes decisions to smooth the loads.
• Monitors production processes continuously (extrusion, material handling, water systems etc).
• Meets routinely with Supervisor to review underperforming processes and makes action plans.
• Establishes employee rotation and training cycles to ensure development and safety.
• Reviews team performance and coaches team members.
• Leads continuous improvement projects.

Your Credentials:

• Minimum of two years of experience in a high production manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrates leadership capabilities and able to teach and coach others
• Good understanding of OSHA safety standards, SPC, and good manufacturing practices.
