The opportunity

As a Senior Director within EY Parthenon, you will help make intelligent, informed decisions at the forefront of high-profile transactions. EY-Parthenon has a market-leading proposition to create and maximize value for our clients, whether they are developing their growth strategy, acquiring, or divesting assets, or undertaking operational restructuring.

EY Parthenon – Commercial Strategy works on complex and high-profile commercial strategies, global transactions, and turn-arounds across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We prepare and execute separation and integration strategies and plans, identify ways to maximize stakeholder value through customer and revenue opportunities, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful transformation of operations, functions, and people.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead project teams to successful project execution.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong business acumen to drive value to our clients.
  • Support and lead various client pursuits contributing to at least $2M per year in team sales.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their career goals.
  • Build strong working relationships with senior clients, influencing, advising, and supporting key decision makers.
  • Develop and support thought leadership and intellectual capital.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Significant transactions management consulting experience.
  • Experience in corporate and/or BU strategy development, commercial functions, go-to-market strategy, and evaluation of market landscape.
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 80% on short notice.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • A proven record of excellence in a transactions and/or commercial strategy role.
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry.

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $250,000 to $290,000. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
