Location: UCHealth UCHlth Eye Center AMC, US:CO:Aurora

Department: UCHealth Eye Center Anschutz

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $22.80 - $29.64 / hour. Pay is based on your relevant experience.

Summary: Join our dynamic team where you will assist eye care providers in delivering exceptional patient care and help keep clinical activities running smoothly. You will ensure the proper care and usage of medical instruments while making a difference in patients' lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with eye care providers to deliver outstanding patient care.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in essential ophthalmic procedures.
  • Conduct basic ophthalmic testing, perform diagnostic tests, and administer medications as required.
  • Assist with minor procedures and manage prescription refills effectively.
  • Document patient interactions, educate patients, and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant, Ophthalmic Technician, or Ophthalmic Medical Technologist.
  • National Contact Lens Examiner Certification if performing as a contact lens technician.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of sponsored on-the-job ophthalmic training or internship experience.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with a valid card before the start date.
