Fabric and Leather Cutter The Company: Bradington-Young is a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation. Hooker Furnishings, in its 100th year of business, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets. Bradington-Young has been crafting high quality leather seating for over 30 years.

The Position: We are looking for a dependable individual with great attention to detail to join our warehouse team in Cherryville, NC as a fabric and leather cutter. This individual will:

• Lay out fabric and leather on marking table.
• Read and understand diagrams indicating marking patterns.
• Use basic hand tools to complete cutting process.
• Operate cutting machines and hand tools to cut fabric according to specified measurements and patterns
• Inspect fabric and leather for defects and ensure quality standards are met
• Collaborate with the sewing team to ensure accurate cutting of fabric pieces
• Maintain and clean cutting equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Organize and store fabric rolls and remnants

Candidates that will be a great fit will:

• Have previous manufacturing experience, preferred but not required.
• Be able to stand and move around 8-9 hours a day and work independently.
• Be able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs. This is a very physical job.
• Have strong attention to detail.

Shift: Monday to Thursday 7am - 4:30 pm and Fridays 7am - 11 am Pay: $16.00 per hour
