Fabrication Machinist - Idaho National Laboratory : Job Details

Include: Operate manual and Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) shop equipment to close tolerances. Use CAD/ CAM software and direct controller interface to develop CNC programs. Provide imaginative and practical solutions to technical problems. Suggest alternate solutions to improve product design and fabrication efficiency. Document fabrication and quality related information in work packages. Provide estimates of shop work and maintaining the accuracy of work packages. Read and interpret drawings and sketches. Work with members of engineering and research groups in fabrication and assembly of components. Review designs with customers to help define job requirements, offer recommendations for improving product design, fabrication, testing, and assembly. Provide status on jobs in progress to project leaders and management. - Resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
