This individual will be a key player in fabrication operations at our Harahan, LA location. To learn more about our company culture, philosophy, and benefits, please visit our company page.Responsibilities* Perform general housekeeping/clean up in assigned area* Thoroughly clean and apply chemical treatments to welds* Operate shop equipment as necessary* Assist fabricators in performance of their duties* Gather materials.* Move material to next station* Other duties as assigned* It is essential that this position is performed at the facility.Requirements* High School diploma, GED Equivalent, or Vocational School diploma.* Ability to work in and maintain a safe work environment* Entry level knowledge of all equipment and tools necessary to perform the duties required* Ability to learn how to operate material handling equipment to move and align materials* Must be able to learn Laitram Machinery Quality Standards* Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift and move 50 lbsDesired Qualifications* Previous fabrication experience and/or vocational training.* Previous overhead crane experience* Previous forklift experienceEOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
