JOB OVERVIEW As a Fabricator at Robinson, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our metal products. Working within a dynamic team environment, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication techniques, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering top-notch craftsmanship. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform various welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Utilize cutting and shaping equipment such as saws, plasma cutters, and shears to prepare materials for welding and fabrication processes.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to accurately assemble and weld metal components, ensuring adherence to dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
  • Inspect welded joints and metal structures to detect defects, ensuring compliance with welding codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues, ensuring efficient production workflow.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, promoting a culture of workplace safety and hazard awareness.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding and fabrication preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques, with a strong understanding of welding principles and metallurgy.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication tools and equipment, including saws, grinders, drills, and cutting torches.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision, with the ability to produce high-quality welds and fabrications consistently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Experience with stainless steel and aluminum welding techniques.
  • Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software for design and fabrication.
  • Familiarity with robotic welding systems and automation technologies.
  • Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately.
  • Strong references demonstrating excellent work attendance and a positive attitude.
