Fabricator - Nilfisk : Job Details

Major function

This position will require basic fabrication and welding background and experience.

The primary function of this role will be a variety of fabrication, welding and tube bender operator duties.

Essential duties and responsibilities

-Measure and cut all sheet metal.

-Set up all equipment in tube bending and make adjustments as needed.

-Keep work area clean and adhere to all safety rules and procedures.

-Maintain high efficiency and keep up with work load.

Minimum requirements

-Ability to work independently.

-Candidate must demonstrate problem solving skills.

-Must have good math skills and be detailed oriented.

-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,

-operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

-Must be able to perform working conditions which includes standing,

walking or bending for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours.

-Must be able to work scheduled or unscheduled overtime when necessary to meet business demands.

-Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

-Ability to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

-Ability to read and write and speak English effectively.

-Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

-Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

-The ideal candidate will possess problem solving skills, dependability and will observe all safety and security guidelines.

-Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with non-A/C working environment.

-Must be able to work around mechanical / pneumatic tools and be able to use them.

-Must be able to work in a fast paced working environment, and be multi-tasked.

-Must be reliable, dependable and have good attendance.

-Must be able to work occasional overtime, including Saturday's as work demands.

Experience

- At least (6) six months experience in fabrication / warehousing environment.

Language

- Read and speak on local language

Education

- High school diploma or equivalent.
