We pride ourselves on a culture of ambition, creativity, and teamwork, constantly seeking innovative minds ready to challenge norms and drive progress in our field.About The RoleWe are looking for a resourceful and detail-oriented Facilities and Inventory Manager to lead the logistics, procurement, and maintenance operations that power both our R&D and Production teams. In this hybrid position-encompassing elements of an In-stock Manager, Inventory Specialist, and Facilities Manager-you will oversee all aspects of parts management, from procurement through inventory tracking and asset management, while also ensuring our facilities remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive operational excellence, streamline processes, and guarantee that both physical assets and resources are managed effectively to support Whisper Aero's rapid growth and innovation. What You'll Do
  • Oversee and manage the inventory of R&D and production parts, maintaining accurate records and minimizing excess stock. Proactively resolve discrepancies, ensure critical parts are available, and develop systems to track assets from acquisition to disposal.
  • Handle procurement of parts for R&D and production, collaborating with suppliers to secure timely and cost-effective delivery. Coordinate the movement of materials between suppliers, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure on-time arrivals.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of company facilities, managing service contracts and preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and coordinate office space planning to accommodate growth.
  • Monitor and streamline the flow of materials and parts across all departments, identifying areas for improvement in procurement, inventory control, and logistics processes.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to forecast inventory requirements based on project timelines and production schedules. Leverage historical data to refine demand predictions and reduce the risk of stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Serve as the liaison between departments, including R&D, engineering, and production, to address materials and facilities needs. Work closely with leadership to resolve facility or asset management issues impacting ongoing projects.
  • Maintain adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in facilities and inventory management. Oversee workplace safety measures and coordinate required training for team members.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on inventory levels, procurement efficiency, and facility status. Maintain accurate documentation, conduct audits as needed, and continuously evaluate processes to incorporate industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. Person status (citizen or permanent resident)
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 5+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement, asset management, and/or facilities management
  • Proven track record overseeing R&D and production parts, along with daily facilities operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain logistics, inventory control systems, and facilities management practices
  • Proficiency with inventory management software, asset tracking systems, and facilities management tools
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and vendors
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to both facilities and inventory management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong project management skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
Bonus Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience setting up and integrating MES, QMS, ERP, and inventory systems
  • Hands-on background in programming, setup, and operation of rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing machines
