Job Description :
The Facilities Associate is responsible for facility care including opening and securing the building at the beginning and close of the day. Responsibilities include custodian work. 1st shift schedule is as follow: Monday-Thursday from 3pm-6pm as well as every other Saturday from 1pm-4pm (Prospect Village and 431 Pennington).ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Opens and closes facility in a consistent and timely manner in preparation for daily activities for the public and employees. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property and access points.2. Perform daily walk-through of facility and premises to assure orderliness and proper condition. Be alert for lighting, general appearance, and maintenance issues. 3. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; escorting violators from the premises when necessary. 4. Circulate among visitors, members, and employees to preserve order and protect property.5. Thoroughly clean and maintain all areas of facility using best practices and diligence.6. Support scheduled special events by assuring designated areas are set up and broken down as instructed. This includes but is not limited to setting up chairs, tables, linens, and other equipment.7. Shovel snow and salt main pedestrian walkways as needed during winter season. 8. Respond to various inquiries or complaints in a professional manner. 9. Escort various inspectors throughout the buildings and coordinate needed repairs.10. Perform other related duties as assigned. 11. Preschool clean-up (Prospect Village and 431 Pennington)a. Wipe down/ disinfect all surfaces including tables, chairs, doorknobs, bathroom, etc.b. Empty all trash cans, vacuum, and mop.12. Office space clean-up (359 Pennington)a. High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred.2. At least 21 years of age.3. Must have clean, valid driver's license and personal vehicle available daily during working hours in order to run errands. Employee will be reimbursed for mileage.4. Two years of maintenance and custodial experience.5. Ability to work with minimal supervision.6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate well to a variety of people. 7. Must be proactive, have a positive attitude, be willing to work with others and have excellent interpersonal skills.8. Must be responsible, flexible and willing to respond to the needs of the organization. 9. Previous experience with diverse populations preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings in hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel, stretch, and climb a ladder up to one story high.
