POSITION:Facilities Coordinator LOCATION:Kings Theatre-Brooklyn, NYHOURS: Full Time, including morning, nights, weekends & holidaysCOMPENSATION: $60-70K AnnuallyABOUT THE POSITIONAmbassador Theatre Group is seeking a detail-oriented team player with strong handyman and communication skills to join our growing Facilities department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and thrive under pressure. This position requires flexibility with working hours, including mornings, weekends, and evenings, due to the unique nature of the role.Maintenance and Administrative Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily maintenance tasks including HVAC system checks, Fire Panel checks, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure optimal functioning of building systems.
  • Perform minor repairs as needed to uphold the appearance and functionality of the building.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from front of house and back of house staff, addressing issues during performances.
  • Conduct pre-show inspections of building facilities to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Supervise housekeeping department during pre-show, show time, and post-show periods.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with Facilities Department and venue management teams.
  • Compile nightly reports and submit them to the Facilities Manager.
  • Undertake additional short and long-term preventative maintenance, repairs, and capital projects as directed by the Facilities Manager in coordination with venue management teams.

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with additional certifications or training
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities, trade, or similar positions
  • Proficiency with hardware tools and electrical equipment
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
  • Strong communication skills and aptitude for problem-solving
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
  • S12 & S13 (Sprinkler & Standpipe) and S95 (Supervisory of Fire Alarm Systems) Certificates of Fitness required. If not currently certified, must obtain upon hiring.
  • Experience with landmarked buildings preferred.
