Job DescriptionWhat We Are Looking ForBaylor University is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support the mission and vision of the University within the School of Music. This position will be responsible to maintain the general physical operating environment of the school by capturing issues, coordinating service provider response, and executing assigned activities. The successful candidate will need availability to serve as primary staff presence during evening and weekend hours. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Operations.A Bachelor's Degree and three years of relevant experience is required. A Master's Degree and four years of relevant experience is preferred. Education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.What You Will Do
- Ensure a quality patron experience for concerts/events by managing front of house spaces on concert nights
- Regularly review facilities for minor issues requiring work orders and maintain schedules for preventative maintenance by 3rd-party providers.
- Provide support and coordination for general logistics needs including room/event setups, office moves, large shipments, and other needs
- Ensure exterior door schedule exceptions are entered according to the events calendar and support the entering and review of individual access requests via card (exterior) or key (interior).
- Perform regular building safety checks and provide training as necessary. Provide support for special safety programs and needs in all performance venues, production shops, and similar areas.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
- Ability to comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- For major events and productions, serve as house manager, including assisting concert patrons, supervising student ushers, and coordinating with Recital & CAE credit scanners
