Responsibilities - Facilities Maintenance:
  • Maintain and care for all outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, flower beds, parking lots, walkways, and other grounds.
  • Mow, trim, and edge lawns regularly to ensure neat appearance.
  • Plant, water, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants.
  • Remove weeds and invasive plants to maintain healthy landscapes.
  • Prune, trim, and shape shrubs and trees to ensure growth and visual appeal.
  • Clear debris, leaves, and litter from outdoor areas.
  • Operate and maintain various grounds equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers.
  • Maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering.
  • Assist in snow removal and salting of sidewalks, parking lots, and walkways in winter.
  • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as needed to ensure plant health and pest control.
  • Monitor and inspect grounds for safety hazards and report or address any concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with other facilities team members to support general building maintenance and improvements.
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Clean and maintain the interior spaces of the facility, including hallways, offices, restrooms, break rooms, stairwells, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all building areas to ensure cleanliness and order.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Experience is preferred
  • Energetic with a good work ethic and attention to detail
  • Position requires standing, bending, stooping and moving for extended periods of time.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
