Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Associate performs a variety of responsibilities in conjunction with the daily facilities operations of the business. The position is responsible for maintaining and moving furniture. furniture repair, troubleshootingsmall equipment, restocking of break room and copy room supplies, package delivery and serving as a back-up for other areas within the facilities department such as office services assignments such as mail, office supplies and print jobs, catering and coffee service and backing up team as needed.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintains knowledge of furniture systems and completes reconfigurations as directed.
  • Moves and relocates furniture, tables, chairs and other items.
  • Purchases and maintains maintenance tools and supplies.
  • Completes filter replacement and repairs on small equipment as needed; schedules and manages vendors when necessary.
  • Identifies aspects of the facility that needs repaired and maintenance including but not limited to furniture, interior finishes, and general repairs.
  • Assists with all other areas of the department including catering, mail center, print center, pantry stocking, etc.
  • Tracks and delivers incoming packages.
  • Packaging and labels for outgoing packages and mail.
  • Maintains appropriate stock levels in breakrooms and copy centers.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of facilities or related experience.
  • Ability to prioritize workload with an attention to detail and willingness to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong business vocabulary, grammar, and effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Searching techniques with the ability to quickly learn other programs.
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver's license.
  • Minimal travel to other locations may be required.
  • Must be physically fit to perform tasks as outlined in this job description. Needs to be able to climb ladders, lift at least 50 pounds and work in a variety of temperatures. Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment and be able to prioritize and adjust priorities quickly.
