Pritchard Industries is a dynamic and innovative provider of comprehensive facility services, dedicated to enhancing the operational efficiency of our client partners in the industries we serve. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician/Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of utilities systems and equipment, as well as the physical maintenance of our building. This role involves coordinating and performing various maintenance tasks, both independently and in collaboration with external service providers. The candidate will also support the execution of projects related to compliance, mechanical systems maintenance, and energy management programs. This position requires someone with strong technical abilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical documentation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot utilities systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs (preventive, corrective, and general) on facility and utility equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance activities such as equipment condition readings, belt alignments, filter replacements, equipment lubrication, refrigerant checks, and coil cleaning.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment problems.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities before execution, ensuring proper communication with relevant teams.
  • Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical/electrical testing equipment.
  • Adjust settings for temperature, humidity, and room pressure.
  • Perform basic plumbing troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other departments and support project execution.
  • Supervise external vendors and contractors when needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Replace ceiling tiles, unclog plumbing, remove snow/ice, repair doors, walls, and floors, and perform touch-up painting.
  • Order necessary materials for repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental policies, including OSHA guidelines and PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in reading technical documents such as schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Ability to analyze reports, charts, and graphs.
  • Competence with hand tools, power tools, and electrical/mechanical testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and basic plumbing.
  • Experience in coordinating maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
Benefits:
  • Salary range: $22 - $25/hour
  • Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm, over-time as needed for emergencies or critical repairs
