Position Overview:
A leading organization is seeking a Plant Engineer to oversee the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of all facility systems, including building infrastructure and utilities. This role will collaborate with production and distribution leadership to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. As a key member of the operations leadership team, the Plant Engineer will drive critical engineering initiatives and support the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Maintenance, Facilities, Setup, and CNC departments, including oversight of multiple facilities.
- Develop and mentor staff, fostering professional growth and engagement.
- Drive the execution of site master plans, automation, capital projects, and equipment commissioning/validation.
- Manage relationships with external engineering vendors and contractors.
- Design and implement state-of-the-art preventative maintenance programs with measurable KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (cGMP, FDA, OSHA, EPA).
- Oversee contracts and agreements with third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with operational and legal standards.
- Lead Value Improvement and Cost Improvement initiatives to achieve measurable savings.
- Manage engineering and site capital project budgets.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Electrical/Mechanical preferred); Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 6+ years in manufacturing-focused engineering, maintenance, and facilities management.
- Medical device industry experience and familiarity with FDA and ISO 13485 regulations are a plus.
- Proven leadership and project management expertise, including experience with preventative and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Strong communication and technical skills, proficient in CAD/CAM, CMMS, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
