Loud laughing encouraged.The Role: The main task of the Facilities/Maintenance Mechanic is to repair, service, inspect, and maintain all facility/process related components. Tasks to include service of our compounding process equipment ensuring all are operating properly. The role of the mechanic is very important in the manufacturing unit. He/she must be able to understand all safety norms and follow pharmaceutical/cosmetic industry standards. He/she must work as part of the maintenance group working together as a team and independently. He/she must have good written and communication skill, reporting skills, manage time effectively and meet deadlines. He/she must have knowledge in the Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical field.This is a SECOND SHIFT position.Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain boiler checks every 2 hours, test TDS daily
- Maintain air compressor, check oil levels, clean coils on compressor and dryer unit
- Maintain filters and screens on process chiller, HEPA rooms, portable HVAC units, and exhaust fans
- Trouble-shooting process operations support equipment when failures or error codes exist
- Repair plumbing leaks on process equipment and kettles
- Repair/Maintain waste water pit pumps, piping, and hoses
- Repair all pumps used in production, processing, and lab
- Minor electrical trouble-shooting, reset breakers, replace plugs, receptacles, broken cords, and fuses
- Repairs/replace air, water, and steam lines, and hoses
- Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies required to completed above assigned tasks
- Document all parts and materials used when preforming maintenance or repairs
- Record repairs and maintenance performed, including daily checks and logs
- Minor fabrication if required to keep equipment operational
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a current Boiler License, Minimum Black Seal
- Equipment Maintenance -- Performing routine maintenance on equipment, and facility Mechanical-Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
- Plumbing- Repair/replace leaking pipes, hoses, and fittings Electrical- Reset breaks, replace damaged or worm components
- Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what the appropriate next steps will be.
- Operation Monitoring -- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure all equipment is working properly.
- Tool Selection -- Determining the materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete the job.
- Operation and Control -- Controlling operations of equipment or system.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
