Job Location : Westfield,MA, USA
1. Plans, lays out, and executes the maintenance and repair work; if necessary with help of contractors.
2. Performs and oversee the preventive maintenance on multiple buildings with the possibility of other locations as needed and upkeep of grounds including the mowing of lawns, snow, and ice removal.
3. Under the direction of the Forensic Facilities and Logistic service's Director, responsible for day-to-day maintenance including facility repairs, appliance repairs, painting, carpentry and general upkeep.
4. Aids in exterior Facility work, including power-washing, window cleaning and yard work.
5. Assists with moving and assembling new equipment and furniture.
6. Executes painting, caulking, minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
7. Performs inventory of certain materials used in preventive maintenance.
8. Makes inspection tours daily to ensure that buildings and appurtenances are properly secured, and that standards of safety, sanitation and cleanliness are properly maintained.
9. Writes specifications for and estimates the costs of repairs, remodeling or alterations to be completed.
10. At the direction of the Facilities Manager, performs related duties such as the requisitioning of supplies and equipment; the allotting of office, parking and other space; and the maintenance of records and preparation of reports.
11. Other duties, as assigned.
12. Required to possess a valid Motor Vehicle License. Must maintain a clean driving record.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have at least (A) four (4) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, professional internship, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in: business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
II. An Associate's degree in a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
III. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience.
IV. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required experience.
V. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.
