Salary: $21.91 - $28.48 HourlyLocation : MultipleJob Type: Full-TimeJob Number: 202400309Division: FinanceDepartment: Parks & RecreationOpening Date: 09/03/2024Closing Date: ContinuousFLSA: Non-ExemptDescription JOB SUMMARYThe Senior Maintenance Technician assists and performs semi-skilled and manual installation, maintenance, repair. and operation of equipment in an assigned area. Responsibilities include: conducting service inspections; troubleshooting and repairing applicable equipment/system; conducting preventative maintenance; operating applicable equipment and tools; maintaining grounds; coordinating projects when necessary; and performing the duties of assigned employees. Examples of Duties ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Performs journey-level inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of applicable building structures and systems, which may include: electrical, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, welding, painting, roofing, HVAC, or other applicable items.
  • Performs site inspections to ensure project and operational compliance with internal and external safety regulations.
  • Performs some custodial duties as requested.
  • Checks and maintains fire extinguishers.
  • Power washes facilities.
  • Cleans and maintains drains and gutters.
  • Assembles, repairs, or moves furniture.
  • Paints interior walls/exteriors.
  • Changes filters.
  • Escorts contractors to sites.
  • Assists or performs carpentry, plumbing, and sheet work projects or repairs.
  • Cleans vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Repairs windows, doors, hinges, and cabinets.
  • Assembles concrete forms.
  • Installs and replaces signs.
  • Hangs, bulletin boards, blinds, and TV mounts.
  • Digs trenches.
  • Transports supplies and equipment.
  • Performs metal fabrication functions if applicable.
  • Performs basic locksmith duties.
  • Coordinates and monitors the work of assigned staff or contractors on assigned projects.
  • Monitors and tracks available inventory and notifies appropriate individual(s) when stock levels reach specified levels.
  • Completes a variety of logs, documents, and/or simple reports regarding quantity of materials handled, equipment operations, work orders, and/or other related information.
  • Performs other related duties of a similar nature or level.
Typical Qualifications QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of related maintenance and equipment operation work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses or Certifications:
  • Valid driver's license.
