This position is based primarily in our Canton and Plattsburgh offices but will serve all 6 of our offices.Your role as a Facilities Management AssociateAs a Facilities Management Associate at the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern NY, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence of our offices. Your responsibilities will include inspecting systems, managing maintenance requests, ordering supplies, and coordinating repairs to guarantee a seamless work environment. With an emphasis on teamwork and effective communication, you will ensure that everything is in its designated place, allowing your colleagues to focus on their vital work. A high school diploma or equivalent is essential, while certifications in facilities management or relevant trades such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical maintenance are a plus. With at least 2 years of experience in facilities management or building maintenance, a hands-on approach to general maintenance tasks is crucial.Strong communication skills will assist in effective coordination with internal teams and external vendors, while excellent organizational abilities are necessary to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and the initiative to resolve issues proactively are key attributes for success.
