Job Description :

Education: Associate degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred. OSHA 30 Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification, Facilities Management Certification (IFMA or equivalent) desired.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing mid to large-size warehouse facilities, including responsibilities for safety, logistics, security, and vendor management.

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Summary:

The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall management, safety, and day-to-day operations of the designated facility. This includes overseeing the logistical flow of materials, managing security systems and access control, ensuring OSHA compliance, vendor relations, and the daily management of facility-related issues. The role requires experience in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, managing deliveries, coordinating with external vendors, and maintaining the security and efficiency of the space.

Essential Duties:

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

Facility Operations:

* Manage the daily operations of the facility, ensuring smooth logistical flow and timely deliveries.

* Oversee maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the facility.

* Ensure all facility-related tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

OSHA Compliance and Safety:

* Ensure all OSHA safety standards are met and adhered to within the facility.

* Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and drills.

* Lead safety training for staff and implement safety programs to mitigate risks.

Security Monitoring and Access Control:

* Manage and monitor the facility's security systems, including surveillance cameras and keycard access control.

* Ensure proper access control protocols are enforced to maintain a secure environment.

* Oversee security vendors and ensure compliance with company security policies.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

* Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for facility-related services (e.g., cleaning, maintenance, security).

* Manage contracts and relationships with vendors, ensuring the best value and service for the company.

Logistics and Deliveries:

* Oversee the receipt and shipment of materials, ensuring the timely and accurate handling of deliveries.

* Coordinate with the logistics team to streamline the flow of materials in and out of the facility.

* Manage warehouse inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of goods.

Budget and Resource Management:

* Monitor and manage the facility's budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently.

* Oversee procurement of necessary facility-related supplies and equipment.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

* In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and facility safety protocols.

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Proficiency in managing security systems, including video surveillance and access control.

* Excellent vendor management skills, with the ability to negotiate and maintain positive working relationships.

* Strong communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage facility staff and interact with other departments.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not manage employees.

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse and office environment. The role requires the ability to oversee warehouse operations and office functions, involving the use of standard office equipment and software, as well as warehouse management tools and safety equipment..

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee will often lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
