OverviewFacilities Ops Specialist (EDOS-2024-21978):Bowhead seeks a Facilities Operations Specialist to provide the EDOS contract on the Dahlgren Naval Base with Facilities Operational support. This is a full-time, on-site position.ResponsibilitiesJob duties to include but not limited to: Manage and track all aspects of pre-procurement for facilities purchases and upgrades. Prepare all paperwork necessary to procure items and test equipment at test sites.Assist with the scheduling of materials and equipment arriving at facilities or test sites.Assist with site inspections and provide recommendations of the acceptability of completed upgrades at various Government facilities and test sites.Assist with the inspection of all new equipment and provide recommendations on whether the equipment is properly installed, repaired, and calibrated.Work with Line Management and Technical Leads to develop and/or update general/program-specific test site or lab Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Safety Documentation, Risk Hazard Assessments, and other related paperwork, and route for approvals.Work with Technical Leads to develop or update RF frequency allocation requests and route for approvals.Assist with maintaining current seating / room layouts along with placing and tracking FSRMs.Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and suppliesLiaison with Line Management, Technical Leads, and third party contractors to ensure estimates and plans for proposed solutions are in acceptable format(s) for Government decision makers.Set up and participate in periodic meetings throughout each upgrade project to exchange information various Government personnel across NSWCDD and NAVFAC as well as third party contractors.Prepare weekly status reports to be distributed to Line Management and Technical Leads.Support the division achieve and maintain Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance by inventorying, accounting and properly marking material, equipment and supplies. Assist the government properly disposition excess and obsolete material.Conduct recurring, day-to-day, periodic, or scheduled work required to preserve or return personal property to such a condition that it may be used for its' designated purpose.Assist with hurricane preparations each year.Other duties as assignedQualificationsValid Driver's License.Three (3) years of professional experience in concepts, and methods of facility operations, design projects, plan approaches to assignments, determine maintenance, restoration, and repair needs, to prepare plans and specifications for alterations to assets. Experience with overseeing build progress and ensuring that timing, costs and contract requirements are adhered to while overseeing projects, equipment installation, renovation and redesign.Experience with facilities maintenance preferred.Experience with the following one or more of the following preferred:Ordering and tracking of supplies and toolsManage DRMO of assetsInventory support.Base taskers / data callsObtain forklift certificationObtain overhead crane certificationObtain camera passObtain classified courierObtain base driver/transportation licenseIntermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contactsStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Physical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallySECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
