POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for painting interior and exterior surfaces of hotel rooms, offices, banquet rooms, hallways, public spaces, buildings, and structures, estimating projects, ordering paint and tool supplies, and preparing, scheduling, and executing painting projects within project timelines. Responsible for overall general maintenance and repair of the facility including maintenance in the Casino/Hotel and on the grounds and works with the Facilities Manager to determine appropriate actions and projects.

Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Maintain and ensure policies and procedures are being followed per the departments' Internal Controls.

* Ensure Guest service standards.

* Interact with Guests and fellow Team Members in an upbeat and friendly manner.

* Estimate project costs for labor and materials for the project budget.

* Mix paints and other materials of various consistencies and colors.

* Operate and maintain painting equipment such as sprayers, brushes, and ladders.

* Operate sand, water, and other media blasting equipment.

* Complete staining and varnishing.

* Patch drywall and plaster, apply taping, paint, vinyl, and other finishes to all types of surfaces.

* Erect and disassemble scaffolding.

* Construct cost and time estimates and order materials needed.

* Keep records of materials used.

* Provide a safe work environment.

* Perform Facilities Engineer Duties, as required:

* Repair and or replace light bulbs, electrical motors, and ballast as needed.

* Vacuum refrigeration filters and coils on a regular as-needed basis.

* Change HVAC filters.

* Hang promotional signs and banners.

* Repair minor plumbing and carpentry problems.

* Maintain facility equipment.

* Provide preventative maintenance as instructed.

* Repair minor problems in the restrooms, kitchen, and toilets/urinals.

* Prepare daily work forms.

* Routinely inspect all lighting throughout the casino & hotel, accounting building, and other out-laying buildings on casino and hotel property, identifying potential problems, and resolving them in a proficient timely manner.

* Respond to all maintenance requests.

* Maintain the mechanics of the water system, generator, air conditioning and heating, and other mechanics of the facilities as assigned.

* Assist with property maintenance when weather conditions are adverse (run snow blower, shovel snow, and apply deicer. Clean roof drains and roof).

* Provide general assistance to all facilities team members as needed.

* Maintain updated current information on the facility disaster plan and act accordingly.

* Work safely and efficiently, utilizing safe equipment, techniques, and products.

* Maintain a clean and organized work area in the Shop.

* Help set up events.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

* Perform highly skilled painting work.

* To judge and perform proper paint requirements for all types of surfaces.

* Work from sketches, drawings, and specifications.

* Climb ladders and work at elevated heights.

* Secure lift and fork truck certification within 90 days of employment.

* Communicate effectively with all levels of team members and guests.

* Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

* Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.

* To work on multiple projects simultaneously, with speed and accuracy.

* To work periodically under conditions of extreme urgency (creating higher levels of job stress).

* To work independently and use good judgment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

* High School diploma or GED preferred.

* Five (5) years of commercial and residential painting experience in a maintenance environment preferred.

* Knowledge and skill in selecting methods, materials, and equipment appropriate to the area of responsibility.

* Demonstrate knowledge of the tools, materials, and standard practices of the painting and finishing trades.

* Support the design, construction, installation, and maintenance of paint and finish systems.

* Basic knowledge of maintenance repair skills.

* Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot building problems and recommend solutions.

* Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Read, write and speak English fluently.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; climb ladders and stairs, work from ladder and stairs, use hands to finger; handle; feel; or grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions. Work at extreme heights. This person may regularly lift and/or move up to 75+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member may encounter while performing the essential functions of the position.

Indoors - may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel. May also, from time-to-time be exposed to noise from slot machines, guests, music and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment.

Outdoors - may be exposed to all types of weather to include but not limited to summer heat, winter cold, humidity, rain, snow, wind, and any other weather conditions experienced at the property. May also be exposed to normal conditions related to the position i.e., low light levels, noise from equipment, dust, pollen, odors, wildlife, etc.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

* Obtain and maintain applicable gaming license with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.

* Attend required training sessions offered by STRC.

* Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.

* Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.

* Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department.

* Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.

* Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management
