Job Summary
The Facilities Project Manager will work closely with college leaders on all activities and projects related to the college's physical facilities. In particular, the Facilities Project Manager will coordinate the college's planning for renovations of facilities and the construction of new facilities. This person will also work with the college's faculty and staff to ensure the accuracy and utility of the inventory of the space assigned to the college. The person will work with college leaders to identify possibilities to enhance the discovery, learning, and engagement of the college's faculty and staff by sharing its facilities with groups in and outside of the college. The person will provide regular reports on progress toward the goals of the college's master plan, maintain records on other planning efforts, and meet regularly with faculty and staff to determine their needs for physical facilities.
Required
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
* 5 years of experience in some aspect of space management and facilities planning.
* Combinations of related education and experience will be considered.
* Broad understanding of physical facilities and their construction and renovation.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects related to the construction, renovation, or repurposing of physical facilities, keeping those projects on schedule.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and people outside the University.
* Effective leadership of meetings of small and large groups.
* Ability to work with all types of computer technology, from desktop programs to enterprise resource planning software.
