Job Description :
SUMMARY:The Facilities Team Member is responsible for working with the Facilities team to ensure all polices, processes, and procedures related to KARM sanitation and upkeep are accurately and efficiently carried out. This person takes responsibility for the cleanliness of our facilities while offering overwhelming Biblical hospitality in all aspects of what we do. The Facilities Team Member works alongside our staff, ministry helpers, volunteers, guests, and vendors to carry out facility initiatives and directives. They play a key role in facilitation and training of our Clean Start program for guests. This person also performs necessary tasks to maintain, clean, and improve KARM facilities.DUTIES:
  • Maintain daily and periodic checklists and standards for essential sanitation and cleaning duties
  • Exhibit overwhelming biblical hospitality in all aspects of service, ensuring a positive experience for guests, volunteers, ministry helpers, and staff
  • Coordinate projects for and oversee outside volunteer groups
  • Assist in facilitation and training of Clean Start program for guests - may include classroom teaching, lab training on equipment, and OJT for those in the program
  • Coordinate with KARM Works Trainer, Facilities Team, Outside Volunteers, and Ministry Helpers to ensure all facility upkeep policies, processes, and procedures are carried out
  • Coordinate work processes and initiatives with other departments as needed
  • Take lead on coordinating resources to keep KARM campus free of debris and litter
  • Exhibit a caring Christian lifestyle to all guests, staff and volunteers
  • Coordinate with vendors on facility access and projects, communicating to all impacted parties.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and take steps to resolve issues
  • Maintain records and schedule for KARM asset maintenance and repairs.
  • Complete incident reports as appropriate
  • Maintain a current list of facility projects and status.
  • Respond to facility emergencies as needed, including after hours
  • Perform other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • Ability to remain calm and instruct others in high stress, emergency situations
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize
  • Good organizational and administrative skills with demonstrated accuracy in recordkeeping
  • Excellent interpersonal and relational skills
  • Ability to work within time constraints and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a team and effectively adapt to change
  • Exceptional delegation, coaching, and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of and general experience with best practice facility upkeep protocols
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Commitment to Christian faith required
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Light industrial setting
  • Field based with occasional travel to other KARM facilities
  • Hazards associated with hands-on facility upkeep, sanitation, and maintenance tasks
  • Pushing, pulling, and lifting equipment weighing up to 120 pounds
  • Pushing /pulling as much as 300 pounds on a flat cart
  • Walking or standing for long periods of time; bending, stooping, crouching, climbing as needed
  • Various environmental conditions (cold, hot, dusty, wet, and possible exposure to blood borne pathogens)
  • Occasional required attendance at KARM special events or to host a volunteer group during weekend or evening hours
