We are based in New Berlin, have a second facility in Delavan and a Warehouse in West Allis. We are passionate about our work and are excited for the future of our fast-growing business! We are currently seeking a Facilities Technician located out of our New Berlin facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and possess technical know-how in areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing, as well as be capable of carrying out repair and maintenance work. Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance tasks within the facility. This role covers multiple areas of operation, including carpentry, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and general facility upkeep. The Facilities Technician will ensure operational efficiency and safety through exceptional service, continuous improvement, and adherence to safety protocols. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. Key Responsibilities include:
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies and practices. Participate in maintaining a safe working environment and ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, minor carpentry, and other facility repairs. Maintain building systems such as lighting, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Electrical Maintenance: Repair and maintain electrical fixtures, ceiling fans, GFCIs, outlets, switches, exterior lights, dimmers, and breaker panels. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform service upgrades.
  • Plumbing Maintenance: Address plumbing issues including faucets, toilets, shut-off valves, ice makers, supply lines, drains, and leaks.
  • Facility Upkeep: Conduct light cleaning tasks such as sweeping, trash removal, and general housekeeping. Move heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies manually or using hand trucks.
  • Equipment Installation and Repair: Install or replace machinery, equipment, and parts using hand or power tools. Operate material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials.
  • Support and Innovation: Participate in projects aimed at driving innovation in facility processes. Support operational metrics and company goals through safe and sustainable improvements.
  • Collaboration: Provide assistance to skilled workers in maintenance and repair tasks. Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to overall team success. Always willing to help support other teams with open tasks and projects. Provide production and technical support for a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
  • Work a minimum of 45 hours per week.

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification required; related vocational education or certifications preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of previous facilities experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a strong comfort level operating machinery.
  • Prior experience with forklifts and scissor lifts preferred; sit-down clamp truck experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and productively with minimal supervision.
  • Basic familiarity with computer functions and Microsoft Office; experience with Apple iPad devices and applications is a plus.
  • Must be able to provide own basic set of tools.
