Facilities Technician Purpose: Performs and coordinates activities and tasks to maintain credit union facilities, grounds and equipment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Performs required painting and structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, doors and furnishings of buildings. Assists in obtaining bids for large-scale projects. Monitors and performs lawn care for branches to include: mowing, edging, weed eating, trimming hedges, blowing debris, and general upkeep of branch outside premises. Ensures all lighting fixtures inside and around branches and ATM's are in proper working order. This includes replacement of ballasts. Oversees maintenance and repair of outdoor lighting on buildings and posts. Assists management in identifying and correcting any unsafe conditions within or around branch locations. Works with management to ensure all alarms, building cameras and security equipment are properly maintained. Identifies problems with all heating and air systems and performs repairs and scheduled maintenance. Oversees repair technicians on an as needed basis Monitors and treats all facilities for pest control on a regular basis. Oversees pest technicians on an as needed basis. Plans out daily work schedule for self when lead facilities technician is absent with the facilities manager. Monitors help desk request and updates work order log in facilities folder. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures parking lots and ATM areas at branch locations are clean and free of trash and debris. Responsible for timely completion of handyman repairs. When necessary, assists management in identifying outside companies to perform repairs or complete more comprehensive projects. Assists with moving furniture and equipment and unloading and storing supplies. Assists departments with organizing, storing and destruction of records. Assists Courier with delivering inter-office mail and equipment to branches. Serves as back-up for daily mail delivery and pick-up from Post Office in absence of Courier Must comply with the Federal Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering & Customer Identification Policy (BSA), the OFAC Policy and the Identity Theft Policy. Education and Training: - 2 year degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
- On an annual basis is required to complete mandatory Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and Red Flag Identity Theft training.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Prior Experience: - 1-3 years of similar or related experience.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Position also involves travelling to other branch locations.
Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May need to work beyond normal working hours, pending organizational needs.
