You'll be:**- Managing the Renewable Energy Learning Center buildings and providing lab support to technical instructors.- Identifying facility maintenance needs, requesting quotes, negotiating pricing, and selecting vendors.- Acting as the primary point of contact for vendors and ensuring they follow RELC rules.- Conducting routine building maintenance, both inside and out.- Tracking, maintaining, and ordering facility supplies.- Assuring lab safety rules are always maintained and driving a site safety culture.- Assisting in repairs of GE Wind Turbines and performing component replacements and troubleshooting.- Performing administrative functions such as ordering tooling and parts, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with calibration and servicing requirements.- Coordinating crews of students and demonstrating proper use of lab tools and equipment.- Assisting instructors with student lab exercises as time allows.**This job might be an outstanding fit if you:**- Have 4 years of facilities maintenance experience and an associate degree in a technical field or equivalent vocational training.- Have experience in facility management and working with and managing vendors.- Are familiar with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance and have a working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements.- Have mechanical knowledge and electrical aptitude.- Are able to read electrical schematics.- Have the ability and willingness to work at heights and possess and maintain a valid driver's license.- Are able and willing to work staggered shift start times, if there's a business need.**What happens next:**Once you apply, you'll proceed to the next steps if your skills and experience look like a good fit.
