Facilities Technician The Facilities Technician would be responsible for preserving the excellent condition and functionality of our equipment and buildings. The Facilities Technician would complete day-to-day repairs on a corporate building, to include lighting, minor electrical, on-the-spot janitorial, drywall, ceiling tile repair and cross-functional coordination with internal and external resources for upkeep of the facility. The facilities technician must be an outstanding problem-solver, with the ability to repair or coordinate repairs of all day-to-day items within the corporate building.
Responsibilities - Inspecting buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
- Complete porter responsibilities (on-the-spot Janitorial) for all offices and conference rooms within the facility.
- Ensure conference rooms are cleaned thoroughly and routinely to ensure optimal conditions at all time..
- Routinely check and clean the restrooms throughout the day to ensure they are presentable at all times
- Perform repairs of faulty equipment, to include lighting, ceiling tiles, drywall repairs and carpentry work.
- Develop a plan of action for larger repairs, to include coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with leaseholder to ensure all repairs required by the leaseholder are performed in a timely manner.
- Ensure preventative maintenance of all equipment within the building is completed; identify potential shortcomings or deviations from the PM schedule to management.
- Schedule repairs and execute plan of actions for furniture installations, equipment mounting, wall hanging, etc..
- Maintain the grounds and perform landscaping tasks to ensure the building has a pleasing aesthetic.
Basic Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of janitorial and basic facilities maintenance and repair work.
- Prior experience coordinating with external vendors to repair critical equipment within facilities.
- Effective problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience with carpentry, drywall repair, basic electrical and plumbing.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on non-routine equipment within the facility to include elevators and HVAC.
- Experience completing landscaping and visual aesthetics for a corporate facility or building.
