Our client in the Commercial Property Management industry is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the maintenance team supporting the assigned buildings. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Facilities Technician Location: Norfolk, VA What's the Job?

  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
  • Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.
What's Needed?
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5-7 years of experience required.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
