Facility & Maintenance Associate Job Num: 56607 h5Job DescriptionPosition: Facility & Maintenance AssociateIndustry: RetailLocation: Gardena, CAStatus: Full-time, Non-exemptSalary Range: $27-30/hour (DOE)DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Facility Associate works under the Quality Assurance Manager's supervision and cooperates with Store managers on daily base. The main responsibility is performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain store and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the Company's business goals and objectives.Job Responsibilities:
  • Under Quality Assurance Managers supervision, administrators and follows Facility and Maintenance procedures to standardize the practices at store level.
  • Support the store managers to check on Vendor's duties in installing and maintaining production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Provide troubleshooting both on-site and online for various store locations, such as mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and minor repairs need issue. Diagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform minor maintenance and service.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Assistant the store managers and maintenance team in finding equipment, fixes, products to solve the quality situation, improve and smooth store operations in line with industry regulation or compliance.
  • Play key contact for third parties including maintenance service venders, parts suppliers, etc.
  • Prepare and submit periodic or at hoc reports such as product quality checking report, case report.
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to Quality Assurance Management for solutions.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Manager regarding Quality Assurance area.
Requirements ESSENTIAL
  • Administers and follows F&M's procedures to standardize the practices at store level.
  • Works various shifts or days as assigned by Section Manager in accordance with the Company's business needs.
  • Needs to check on Vendor's duties in installing and maintaining production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Able to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Detects faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Other tasks as assigned by F&M Procurement Section Manager or Department Manager
  • Basic computer skills such as reading and replying to emails, texts, and using Microsoft products.
  • Basic knowledge of assembling and disassembling Gondola Shelves and other display products.
  • Assist with Maintenance Associates on a needed basis.
  • Supervise Temp. Employee(s) when we hire them during renovation periods or other jobs.
  • Inventory Control of Facility Products at the Warehouse and reports to F&M Procurement Section Manager.
NON-ESSENTIAL

  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by F&M Procurement Section Manager

  • Maintains cleaning department's maintenance records
  • Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to F&M Procurement Section Manager and the Store Manager for solution or gives recommendations.
  • Maintains good communication with management and staff.
  • Responsible for participation in IIPP/Safety Program
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
.Safety, Loss Prevention and Procedural Compliance:
  • Assists F&M Procurement Section Manager and/or Department Manager in Loss Prevention in curbing internal and external theft.
  • Ensures satisfactory maintenance, appearance and condition of assigned areas to comply with security, safety and environmental codes and ordinances.
  • Complies with all Health and OSHA requirements.

  • High School diploma or GED preferred but not required. A minimum of 2 to 4 years of maintenance work experience in a retail or grocery chain establishment preferred. Supervisory or Management experience in a similar or comparable work environment is a plus, strong work ethic supported by a pleasant and positive attitude of can do success.
  • Previous experience cleaning and maintenance in a retail or restaurant environment preferred.
