Job Title: Facilities Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Elm Chevrolet, Elmira, NYElm Chevrolet, a high-volume dealership in Elmira, NY, is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our dealership's facility. This is a critical role that requires a proactive, hands-on professional to handle facility repairs, preventive maintenance, and improvements.Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance & Repairs: Perform a variety of facility repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and minor HVAC maintenance to keep our dealership in top condition.
• Preventive Maintenance: Implement regular checks and maintenance of mechanical systems, ensuring all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
• Facility Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of the building's systems and infrastructure, identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
• Contractor Coordination: Liaise with external contractors for larger projects, such as roofing, major HVAC repairs, and other specialized work.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for employees and customers.
• Exterior Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of outdoor areas, including parking lot maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal during the winter season.
• Inventory & Supplies Management: Monitor and maintain facility-related supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure proper functioning and availability when needed.
• Emergency Response: Respond to urgent maintenance requests and facility-related emergencies promptly to minimize disruptions.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, general repairs, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) and experience with basic carpentry and mechanical repairs.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and apply effective solutions.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and operate tools and machinery safely.
• Attention to Detail: Thorough and detail-oriented in maintaining the appearance and functionality of the facility.
• Flexibility: Willing to handle a variety of tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
