Join us at ALOFT AeroArchitects and let's take aviation to new heights!SUMMARY Performs maintenance, inspection and repair to facilities and general infrastructure including, but not limited to: building, grounds, machinery, vehicles and ground equipment with limited supervision.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform building repair and maintenance, including carpentry, drywall, plumbing, minor HVAC and painting tasks.
  • Refresh and remodel workspaces, offices and restrooms; this included the ability to finish drywall, install flooring / carpeting and finishing trim.
  • Perform lawn and landscape improvements and maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repair tasks relating to vehicles and support equipment including golf carts, forklifts and tractors and mowers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repair tasks relating to aerospace ground equipment, maintenance stands and industrial machinery.
  • Prepare facilities and grounds for inclement weather; remove water / snow, as needed.
  • Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order.
  • Report any machinery, equipment, and tools that are required for efficient production.
  • Perform inspections of fire extinguishers and related safety equipment.
  • Operate floor scrubber and clean hangar floors as needed.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment or supplies, manually or using hand-trucks.
  • Set up, arrange or remove decorations, tables, chairs to prepare facilities for events.
  • Fill in for custodial staff as needed; tasks include general cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and garbage collection / removal from restrooms, work areas and office spaces.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials and the elimination of wasteful practices within the area.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Complete initial / recurrent training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Maintenance Lead in providing training and general mentorship to the Facilities Maintenance team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent reading, writing and math abilities.
  • 5+ years experience in General Maintenance Work.
  • Proficient in the use of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when needed.
