Location: Muskegon, MISUMMARY Directs and coordinates activities of the Composite Products facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervision.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
  • Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention and employee involvement in regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees have an understanding of the safety expectations of the organization.
  • Confers with the Business Director, Water Products and Composites to formulate and set strategies, policies, and performance targets for their areas of responsibility.
  • Leads, manages, and coordinates departments to achieve desired business results and performance.
  • Communicates company philosophy to subordinate managers and cascades company culture.
  • Reviews production schedules with Business Director, Water Products and Composites, to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and maintenance, problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Resolves employee relations issues that may arise in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
  • Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages subordinate managers who supervise employees in the Composites facility. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
