At Stony Brook Medicine, a Facility Operations Assistant 1 performs a variety of routine manual tasks, requiring medium to heavy physical effort, to assist in maintaining, constructing, and repairing buildings, roads, offices, other structures, furniture, facilities, and grounds. Duties of a Linens Facility Operations Assistant 1 may include the following but are not limited to: Deliver clean linens to units as directed. Pick up soiled linen from units as directed. Make repairs to carts and/or linen transport equipment. Perform other related laborer tasks as assigned. Must maintain a neat appearance and be outfitted in the department uniform each day. Qualifications Required: Must be physically able to perform the duties assigned. Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalency.
