We operate 25 public ice skating arenas across Massachusetts in long-term partnership agreements with the Commonwealth, various municipalities, and educational institutions.The Facility Operator is responsible for maintaining FMC facilities to ensure clean, safe, and healthy environments. Responsibilities include routine maintenance and janitorial functions while the facility is open to the public and operating the ice resurfacer. The Facility Operator reports directly to the Arena Manager and/or Facility Supervisor and will work both independently and collaboratively as required by the facility activities schedule. Work schedule will include nights, weekends, and some holidays as necessary to meet the needs of our patrons.No prior experience in an ice rink or ice sports is required. We will train.Part-Time Seasonal (August - April) position.Preferred Skills and Qualifications:HS Diploma or GEDMust be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Driver's License.Self-starter with the ability to analyze situations and develop solutions with minimal supervision.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a variety of individuals and groups.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.Flexibility to work varying hours as seasons and service needs change.Responsibilities include:Maintain and secure the facility.Make and maintain ice surfaces and arena facilities.Ensure facilities are cleaned regularly.Demonstrate total commitment to outstanding customer service for both internal and external customers.Compensation: $20 per hour, nonnegotiable.
