JOB SUMMARY: The Facility and Safety Manager is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the building and equipment.
FACILITY MAINTENANCE:
Maintain day-to-day equipment operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
Perform preventative and routine maintenance on equipment or building assets and making repairs as needed
Oversee the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as factory floor, offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor spaces
Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions
Manage and review service contracts and check work completed by vendors and contractors
Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL:
Ensure security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly
Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees
Ensure forklift, crane and relevant certifications are documented and monitored for relevant staff
Oversee and ensure OSHA Compliance
Check and update MSDS paperwork for compliance
Conduct accident investigations and support the issuance of correction actions where necessary

EXPERIENCE:
Ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
EDUCATION:
Bachelor s Degree or equivalent industry certifications and training
