The Skaneateles Community Center/Arch Amenities Group is seeking a Full-time Service Technician. Under the direction of the Facility/Ice Director, the Maintenance Technician will provide overall maintenance services to the facility related to pool & rink equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC general mechanics and carpentry. Must be self-motivated and well organized. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain and repair the physical plant of the facility.
- Provide preventative maintenance to the pools including repair and or replacement of pumps, piping, filters, vacuums, chemical controllers and heating system. Clean pool, replace filters and maintain water sanitation. Must maintain a current Certified Pool Operator's Certificate.
- Maintain and repair lighting systems. Conducts and records monthly testing results.
- Maintain and inspect heating and air conditioning systems.
- Preventative maintenance and repairs of boilers and water heater systems.
- Preventative maintenance and repairs of Ice Resurfacer. Maintains maintenance logs.
- Preventative maintenance of the rink chiller system; dasher boards, rink doors, heaters, scoreboard, painting etc.
- Maintains the Safety data Sheets and Chemical Log index ensuring inventory checklists.
- Assists with snow removal and proper clearance of exits. Assists with landscaping.
- Responds to emergencies, spills, accidents, pool incidents, etc.
- Maintains SCC Asset Management records.
- Maintains fire and safety inspections, vendor service records and reports.
- All other duties as assigned.
