Pay Range: $78,160.00 - $104,221.00Open to candidates within our 7 state footprint - CT, ME, MA, NH, NY, PA and VTThe Fair Banking Officer is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and execution of the Bank's Fair Lending and UDAAP programs. Reporting directly to the Fair Banking Director & CRA Officer, this role works independently and interacts daily with VP and SVP levels. The Fair Banking Officer is responsible for ensuring the UDAAP and Fair Lending programs are documented, appropriate for the size and complexity of the Bank, and fully aligned with legal and regulatory requirements and expectations. This role works closely with the Fair Banking Director and CRA Officer to ensure all HMDA, CRA and Small Business data is collected, aggregated and reported timely and accurately. The Fair Banking Officer serves as the Subject Matter Expert for Fair Lending through participation on projects, contributing to evaluations of products and services and reviewing customer complaints. As a member of the CRA & Fair Lending Committee, the Fair Banking Officer is responsible for effectively communicating the outcome of fair lending analysis and providing regular updates on fair lending related risk.Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required
  • 3+ years of related experience in banking and financial services (preferably 1+ years in Compliance or Risk Management)
  • Relevant Compliance, Fair Lending or CRA industry certification desirable (required if no bachelor's degree)
Skills and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of banking processes or willingness and ability to learn business processes
  • Must be able to interact with LOB partners and collaborate to achieve objectives
  • Ability to analyze data to identify patterns or disparities that could point to potential discriminatory practices or impacts
  • Good analysis, data manipulation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management
Tasks Performed:
  • 60% Develop, maintain and execute all aspects of the Fair Lending Program, (risk assessment, data analysis, testing, LOB consultation, etc)
  • 15% Coordinate data collection, data accuracy, error resolution and other necessary activities to ensure timely & accurate annual submission
  • 15% Manage the execution of annual UDAAP risk assessment and quarterly UDAAP testing.
  • 5% Perform ad-hoc data analysis or query writing to support the broader ERM team.
  • 5% Other Duties as Assigned
