Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is looking for an energetic and highly motivated individual to become the Family Engagement Coordinator at ER Taylor. All family engagement programs take place Monday through Friday at ER Taylor. BACR's goal is to foster clear lines of communication and engagement opportunities between families and our After School Program.The Family Engagement Specialist (FES) will maintain healthy relationships with partners, providers and networks, such as the San Francisco Family Support Network, SFUSD, and DCYF.$300 Sign-On Bonus after 90 Days of Employment*Please note that rehires within three (3) years are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.Benefits:
  • Pay rate: $27-$30/hour (based on experience)
  • 16 paid BACR holidays
  • Full Time: 35-40 hours per week

  • $300 Sign-on bonus after 90 days of employmentMinimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree or 2 years college (minimal 48 college units) with 2 years related experience
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse district/school staff, students, parents, and community members
    • Must have a working ability with computers (composing email, scanning, Microsoft Office, Zoom and GSuite)
    • Must be able to adapt to change and learn new skills
    • Must be confident speaking in public settings for students and parents
    • Experience working in youth programs
    • Experience working in a school and/or non-profit setting
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of integrity
    • Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance
    • Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Cantonese OR Spanish is preferredResponsibilities:
      • Develop responsive, culturally appropriate, and engaging family programming that meets the needs and interests of the ERT community.
      • Build relationships with ERT stakeholders (school administration, parents, and staff) to further engage them in the success of the program.
      • Manage front desk during program hours, providing families with BACR program information and student locations.
      • Manage family emails which include: questions, concerns, early pickups, and absences. Communicate attendance changes and/or other student injuries to the corresponding program staff and Site Coordinator.
      • Update after school programs bulletin board and send out monthly Family Newsletters. Manage parent slide deck to keep families informed of all program updates.
      • Plan and host family engagement events to give our families the opportunity to connect and see what we work on in our program or how-tos.
      • Complete administrative duties.
      • Communicate participant concerns, class needs, or site issues to the Site Coordinator.
