JCEO is a private, not-for-profit human service agency that serves the residents of Clinton and Franklin Counties in New York State. All programs are based on JCEO's mission to alleviate poverty through practical, timely, and innovative services that emphasize and develop problem-solving skills for people.This role involves supporting the Family and Community Services Coordinator (F&CSC) by acting as a liaison for family advocates in Franklin County. Responsibilities include assisting parents at local HS/EHS sites, providing resources and referrals, maintaining confidentiality, facilitating access to community services, and implementing eligibility and enrollment processes. The position may also offer transportation, childcare, andother social services, while promoting family support and self-reliance.Full-Time, Non-ExemptLocation: On-SiteHourly Rate of Pay: $21.74

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Carries out goals, policies, and activities designed to implement community and family engagement and performance standards.
- Prepare and distribute recruitment materials.
- Maintain full child enrollment by recruiting low-income children and those with disabilities.
- Inform the F&CS Coordinator of changes in enrollment; conduct home visits as needed.
- Assist Family Advocates in collecting necessary paperwork (e.g., medical records).
- Participate in team meetings and act as a liaison between families, center teams, and outside agencies.
- Help maintain resource files and share information with parents through newsletters.
- Support the development of a calendar of events for parents and staff.
- Participate in self-assessment processes as directed.
- Attend Policy Council meetings and record minutes when the Secretary is unavailable.
- Ensure proper documentation of Non-Federal Share for volunteers and donations.
- Report instances of child abuse/neglect and follow up as required.
- Attend required meetings and trainings; submit reports on time.
- Assist with implementing the parenting curriculum through workshops and meetings.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Carry out duties in alignment with the mission of the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity, Inc.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociates Degree in a Human Services related field or equivalent preferred. Experience in thefield preferred.CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSESCandidate must possess a valid driver's license
